Scott Gregory, Remote Sensing Program Manager / FAA Certified UAV Operator, Ag One Solutions
Scott Gregory is a Remote Sensing Specialist and FAA-Certified UAV Operator at Ag One Solutions. He specializes in data collection and analysis for the agriculture industry using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), known more commonly as drones. Scott is a graduate of California State University, Chico, and holds a Master’s degree in Geography and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology.
Scott provides an aerial imaging service for mapping crops to detect diseases, irrigation issues, and other issues that can affect yield using infrared sensors that detect problems the human eye cannot see.
Food Safety – FSMA’s Here: Are You Ready?
The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) is changing the landscape of agriculture in the United States from the field to the supermarket and restaurant. Protecting consumers is FDA’s mission and farmers and agricultural processors are changing their practices to account for this. This presentation will highlight the key FSMA rules and how they impact farmers and processors.
Roger Isom, President/CEO, California Cotton Ginners and Growers Associations & Western Agricultural Processors Association
Since 1992, Roger has worked for the California Cotton Ginners and Growers Associations, which is a voluntary dues based trade Association representing 100% of the cotton growers and cotton gins in the State of California addressing regulatory and legislative issues impacting the cotton industry. Isom is responsible for management of the Association’s day-to-day operations and staff, and oversees environmental, safety, pesticide, energy, labor, and transportation issues working with local, state and federal agencies on these matters. In 2014, Isom was named the President/CEO of the Associations. In 2009, Isom also became the President/CEO of the Western Agricultural Processors Association, a new organization formed to address the regulatory and legislative issues for the tree nut processing industry including almonds, walnuts, pistachios and pecans. WAPA also provides environmental and safety consulting services for almost all types of agricultural processing operations.
Prior to 1992, Isom worked for the Fresno County/San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District as an Air Quality Engineer II. Isom graduated in 1988 with a degree in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Fresno.

Barry Bedwell / Importance of Leadership Skills in Running a Family Farm Operation
California Agricultural Leadership Foundation President Barry Bedwell will make a presentation entitled " Importance of Leadership Skills in Running a Family Farm Operation". He will explain the background of the foundation and its Ag Leadership program that has been successfully producing leaders to the benefit of California agriculture for almost fifty years. Bedwell will describe how the program "grows leaders who make a difference" by using a 17 month individually focused curriculum that teaches leadership development from the inside out.
