Due to the high success of the Colusa County Pumpkin Village, we are expanding Pumpkin Village for its third year! In order to have a larger event, we also need a higher staff count.
This year at Pumpkin Village you will find all the favorites from last year including the Hay Pyramid, Barrel Train Races, Rubber Ducky Races, Corn Cannon, Pedal Carts, Hay Maze, Hayride, and of course the Pick Your Own Pumpkin Patch, and will be continuing as official Pumpkin Patch of Spookley the Square Pumpkin, an anti-bullying symbol that is growing in popularity!
We will need volunteers each day of the event, and at various times throughout the day. Family Days will kick off the event on Saturday, October 21st and 22nd and we are adding a second weekend October 28th and 29th. During these days, Pumpkin Village will be open to the public from 10am – 4 pm. There will be all of the activities as well as food and commercial vendors attending. School Days is a little different! Starting Monday, October 23rd and running through Friday, October 27th, we will be closing our gates to the public and opening them to the schools in Colusa County. Young children from TK-4th and even 5th graders will be arriving at various times throughout the day to participate in a low-cost pumpkin patch field trip. They will have unlimited access to the activities and will each get to pick out a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. We will need more volunteers throughout the School Days as last year we had as many as nearly 1,000 kids at Pumpkin Village at one time!
I hope you give this opportunity some consideration, and that you will join us in providing the only pumpkin patch in Colusa County! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!
